Cosmopolitan International’s two clubs in Columbia — Breakfast, and Show-Me—fed more than 450 people and raised over $6,000 for diabetes research and Camp Hickory Hill at their 17th annual Ready for Spaghetti dinner. The hall was decorated like an old-fashioned Italian restaurant.

The dinner was held April 28, 2017 at the Cosmopolitan Club building in Columbia. The clubs’ mission is to raise funds for diabetes research and related projects.

Part of the proceeds from this year’s dinner fund Camp Hickory Hill, a nonprofit organization that since 1974 has provided a week-long summer camp for children with diabetes.

“We nearly reached our goal of serving 500 meals,” said Rose LaMantia, president of Show-Me Cosmopolitan Club. “Overall, it was a great evening.”
